Marti Era Designs, Inc. started as hope of helping the next
Breast Cancer patient but has became so much more.
After being diagnosed with Breast Cancer I realized that
life does not always deal you cards that you'll be happy
with. But with the cards you have, you have choices.
Instead of keeping the hand I was dealt I decided to change
them and the decision was well worth it. I had a double
mastectomy with re-construction. During my re-construction
I realized that there was a definite need for garments for
the patient choosing this route.

If you are a woman you will understand how important it is
to have a bra that fits and is comfortable. With the help and
encouragement from my husband, family and friends I decided
to research the possibility of designing a bra that I felt would
make the next patients experience with cancer a less frustrating
ordeal. I put together a design on paper and started a search
for a manufacturer. The compression wear company worked
with me and was successful with producing the bra from my
designs.The search confirmed that there was not a garment
out there that came close to design and I was able to pursue
a patent.

I went through the surgery twice because my chest rejected the
first implants and they were removed and replaced with different
ones. The discomfort was terrible and needless. If only this bra
design was available when I had surgery I know the healing would
have taken place faster and been more comfortable.

My husband Todd and I founded this company in hopes of
providing the next patient with products of comfort and inspiration.
Our company gives back a percentage of proceeds to research to
find better ways of diagnosing, treating and surviving Breast Cancer.
